My problem is rebuilding a surface within a tolerance. There may be some criteria to decide how many control points could be enough to simplify the surface and let’s suppose I know how to do it. But, once I’ve got the new surface, a test on the maximum deviation as it appears on the Rebuild dialog is necessary. I could test my surface with the control points of the new surface but again I don’t find the method for doing it as testing one point a time is too slow. Any suggestion?
